I just went through getting disability. It is a pain in the caboose, but you must stick it out. I live in Iowa. You have to file, be turned down, appeal, be turned down, then get an attorney, and appeal again. At least that is what happened to me. I spoke with another lady who applied for disability in our state, and the judge told her to get an attorney. They want to work with the attorneys as it makes the process go much faster. Even though it took me almost a year to get benefits. Hope this has helped.
