Adderall seemed to work at first but then lost its punch! I started on 20mg a day and then moved up to almost 50mg per day. I do know that the Adderall causes less anxiety than ritalin or dexedrine. I have been on both of those meds. also! The drop off effect is also less pronounced with the Adderall. I disliked that it took so long for the Adderall to be felt in your system in the mornings. It takes a good hour to hour and a half to start feeling the effects. After taking it for awhile I had some bad side effects. First of all, it made me literally impotent and wiped out my sex drive. Ritalin or Dex. never did this to me. There were also days when I took the medicine where it seemed that it would make me in a very confused state. Simple things for me to do became very difficult to do! It was as if someone gave me a stupid pill or something. This side effect was very scary. After continuing to have these side effects I switched over to the Dexedrine. Overall it is a good drug if you do not suffer those side effects. Good luck!
