Posted by Kelly on August 01, 2000 at 09:07:44:Greetings from Northern Virginia! I am 26 and I was diagnosed with Narcolepsy today. My symptoms, however, started at age 14 when I experienced sleep paralysis for a period of about 6 months. Extreme fatigue followed and grew worse over time, but the sleep paralysis never returned. I Haven't thought about my sleep paralysis experience a whole lot since then...until I did some research on narcolepsy on the Internet this morning. Now I am wondering if the two are related and if it will come back. Anyone ever heard of sleep paralysis being "dormant" (for lack of a better word)...and then returning years after the initial experience? Also, anyone with narcolepsy ever experience hand tremors? I have tremors of my hands sometimes, but my EEGs and MRIs are normal. I'm wondering if it's related. Thanks for the help!
