Posted by mariah on October 04, 2000 at 08:31:48:Hi, I have been trying to find out what's been wrong with me for over a year. I had an overnight PSG in March which was inconclusive. I see a Neuro, who 2 visits ago, was saying it probably wasn't N due to the lack of C. I asked him to draw an HLA which came back +. I just had the MSLT last night. And for about 3 weeks before I have been nervous and unable to fall asleep easily no matter how tired I was except when I had a sleep attack. The night before last would have been perfect. I hallucinated (but was still semi conscious) most of the night and then had a major sleep attack the next day. I knew I had to try to stay awake for the MSLT but it was impossible. During the MSLT I would drift off and then snap back awake again and again. My conscious mind would not relax. During the naps I would immediately get drowsy and start to drift, but wake again. I did have a very short dream during one of the naps but the rest of the time I just had random hallucinations. My question, after all of this ranting, is will the fact that I was drowzy be taken into consideration or do you actually have to fall asleep. I am starting to second guess myself and am really stressing. I have a follow up with the dr next week. I don't know if I can wait that long. Sorry for the long post. Thanks -mariah
