I know for sure that you shouldn't stop taking it on your own; it would probably be best to discuss it with both the prescribing doctor and an informed person at the sleep clinic, before the actual dates for your tests are decided upon. I know it can be scarey (it would be for me) to go off an antidepressant, and then later start it back up and have to go through the adjustment period again, but I certainly wish that I had known to do it!
