Hi OSA Jay, I swear, I must be sjarre's twin because I can double ditto the message of dropped soft palate, trouble with swallowing, malformed uvula and tastebud changes. My surgery as 2 months ago. And would I go through it again? Well, that depends... Unless I can swallow normally ever again, unless I can talk without squeeking like a hamster ever again, then sure. The pain will be a real thing you will have to deal with if you go through a tonsillectomy, but if more or less lasts anywhere from a week to three weeks. I've stopped having a sore throat. My only gripe is that my swallowing and talking is challenged by the shape shifting in my throat. Unless you get a 100% guarantee from your doctor that you will be able to have the same mouth but minus the tonsils, then go for it. If your doctor can't guarantee, do some more research or interview more doctors until one comes around and can give you the word.

keep in touch, Louise
