Posted by Depsy on June 10, 2000 at 09:23:43:Day 11 and I'm feeling fine. My pain is going away quite well and I'm back doing almost all the things I was doing. I actually went to a steak house yesterday with my husband and ordered a filet minion...Boy oh boy was it good! It did take me a little longer to chew than it normally would, but it was worth it. I can't believe how good I'm feeling after going through a UPPP, genioglossal advancment and a hyoid suspension just 11 days ago. I went to my ENT yesterday and he was tooo happy to see how good I was doing. He even commented on how I had make-up on and my hair done. The only thing I'm not doing yet is going back to work. I work in a daycare and can't see going back to a bunch of children yet. Besides, I'm going to have to let them know that I'm taking a two week vacation and going to Pennslyvania and Illinois to visit family for the 4th of July before I come back to work. (I'm in North Carolina by the way). Anyways, I just wanted to let you all know that I feel really good and so far the pain and agony was worth it. I went from being sick (literally) to my stomach about even thinking about getting all three of these surgerys done, to feeling quite good about it. Now don't get me wrong, I still am in some pain and the scar on my neck is not attractive at all but over all, all that I have been thru, I feel good. I'll feel even better when I have my sleep study in a month or two and they tell me these procedures actually did help. We'll see...:) Depsy
