Never look in your mouth after one of these surgeries. It's like sausage-making and politics: very messy and unsettling.

If it really bothers you, go to a 2nd ENT ahd get an opinion from him. However if you're not having difficulty breathing or speaking I wouldn't worry about it too much. Chances are the tissues are simply swollen from the surgery and will shrink back to normal in a few days.
