Tongue Retaining Device

Posted by Mike N on July 01, 2002 at 12:41:50:

I was diagnosed with moderate sleep apnea and I have been
using a Thorton Adjustable Positioner dental device for about a year.

The TAP used to help my apnea and I was able to sleep pretty
well with it for about a year.

About a month ago, I started feeling tired in the morning
again. Although I advanced the TAP to the maximum position,
I still did not feel refreshed when I wake up in the morning.

I was thinking about trying a Tongue Retaining Device.
Has someone got any experience using a TRD device?
Does it reduce your apnea?
