UPPP Somnoplasty Question

Posted by birddog on July 04, 2002 at 13:21:41:

Hi everyone. This is a nice forum- lots of information. I have just been diagnosed with moderate apnea and am using CPAP at a pressure of 7. I am 5'6 and about 158 pounds. I am considering the surgery as my apnea is moderate. I was wondering if anyone out there with moderate apnea (I think my number was 26 per hour) has been cured by somnoplasty and UPPP in combination. Also has anyone had the UPPP with a harmonic scalpel - sounds like much less pain.
