Posted by Baldur on August 09, 2002 at 19:17:39:O.K. so I'm in day eight post uppp. I honestly thought it would be much worse. I did have a world class anesthesiologist and I believe that this makes a big difference. Also a good ENT, he does alot of these. Drinking right out of surgery, sent home early, eating applesauce that same night. I actually ate a burger and fries on day four[it hurt].....no trouble hydrating although I must admit no matter how well I'm doing the pain does wear me down a little. My advice to anyone considerng this is check out the doctors thouroughly, get true pros then go ahead and get the surgery. By the way i,m a 49 year old male ,6'7",200 lb.,.......oh and by the way I was a heavy smoker and used this as an opportunity to quit, really ones condition after this surgery makes it preety eay to quit.........the thought of smoking, it would be far too painful. Thanks Baldur
