My voice was "breathier" for awhile. I found this a little annoying but it passed. On the positive side, my singing voice improved slightly. My pitch control got easier and I seem to project a little better. This makes sense to me in the following way: The uvula is no longer "flapping around" while I attempt to hold pitch and a larger upper airway produces better volume of air and resonance. I explained this to my musical friends by asking them to think about the mouth sizes of the singers that they like. Steven Tyler, Mick Jagger, Mariah Carey etc. Which of these folks has a small mouth?:) Go on down your own list. Almost all serious Crooners have massive mouths.
