I felt almost normal, but still with some sensitivity and tightness, at 6-8 weeks. It goes away. It takes a while. I had mine in May. I don't feel a bit of difference in there now, except that my tongue is lonely now that it's lifelong friend, the uvula, is no longer there for it to play with........
