My experience is that many group policies have no restrictions regarding pre-existing conditions. I switched employers 1 year ago and was never asked anything about pre-esisting conditions for me or my family members. I made the point of asking and was informed there were no restrictions. Of course, it might depend on the size of the group. Good luck.
