Check out dental appliances before going for surgery. I've been wearing mine for a month now and have only had one bad day since starting (diagnosed with mild to moderate apnea). Overall things seem headed in the right direction. Maybe someday I'll decide on surgery. And if that doesn't completely cure me I'll still have the appliance to use in hopes the combined efforts will do the job.
