Hypo glossal nerve injury

Posted by jersey on September 09, 2002 at 22:26:26:

I just discovered that my hypo glossal nerve was injured during UP3 surgery. Difficulty speaking, chewing, swallowing and moving tongue to the right where they put the gag clamp during procedure. Has anyone else had this problem. If so, how long until it clears up or does it. My doc said it is very rare. He guessed six months.
