I have had my trach since June. No infection or pain..I was sent home with a prescription of antibotics! I believe I would find an ENT that was associated with a sleep center. I even take mine out twice a day to clean the stoma. There should be no discomfort. Takes less than three minutes. Good Luck! Lee
