I had the UPPP done about a year and a half ago. It took almost a full year before I was not concious of the feeling you describe in the back of your throat. It WILL pass. It has to do with scar tissue and the normal surgical tightening after such a procedure. This tightening is actually beneficial in that it further removes tissue from the airway. As to continued tiredness: Many people are not cured by the type of procedures you have had. The good news is you may be still healing. Additionally, the procedures you had are considered important in the overall cure protocol advocated by Stanford. In the worst case scenario, you might need one more operation (phase 2, MMA/GA) to be cured.
