Hi Gary!
No, my tongue was never cut. I did have a G.A...this is where a
rectangular portion of the lower chin bone is rotated 90 degrees to advance
the tongue. I experienced numbness for about three months but it went away.
It did not affect my speech in anyway. It along with a UPPP and hyoid
adjustment did lower my RDI from 99 to 68 so it might be effective for mild
apena. I have where they do remove a portion of the tongue but it is rarely
done and sounds painful as all get out!
