I heard from one Doc that in every case he is aware of, speech and swallowing were negatively, permanantly effected. Also, it is a risky, painful procedure with post-surgical, emergency type bleeding in over 25% of cases. I would proceed VERY cautiously on this and check out the MMA/GA route first.
