Prior to surgery I had asked my surgeon about the possibility of nasal regurgitation and he felt it was only a problem when the surgeon becomes a bit overly aggressive with the UPPP.

I only had trouble swallowing for the first couple days after surgery. At that time I found that it helped to keep my head up to allow the food to slide down.

I'm mostly eating things like pastas, mashed potatoes and well cooked meats that I can cut into bite-sized pieces. More coarse items like hard breads I am still avoiding.

You must be thoroughly miserable with your eating problems. I wish you the best in your recovery and sincerely hope your situation improves quickly!
