Post-Septoplasty tooth pain...

Posted by jrh on March 21, 2003 at 07:15:09:

Two weeks ago I had septoplasty & palatoplasty and have been having problems with sometimes severe tooth pain. The four middle teeth on the top are the ones affected. I have noticed that when I tried to blow my nose for the first time (very softly like my Doctor told me) I had a shooting pain that went straight down my nose into my tooth. This throbbed for about 10-15 minutes afterwards. Needless to say, I have not attempted to blow my nose again. Also, there is a constant irritation, similar to the feeling you get when a new tooth is coming in. I also noticed when I was putting saline gel into my nostril that when I touched one of the stitches that is still left in my nose, that this also made a pain shoot down into my teeth, which resulted in the 10-15 minute period of intense throbbing. I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced problems like this. Thanks!
