I have ANOTHER stitches question!

Posted by Andy on April 02, 2003 at 15:24:21:

I had the UP3 done yesterday and all seems fine so far as I can tell. (Don't get me wrong, it's no picnic!) I still can't believe I've finally done this! The throat is, indeed, sore but I can suffer a fair amount of discomfort. My question is this: Where my uvula is (or I should say "was") it's sorta whitish on the tip and am I right in assuming it's a combination of scar tissue and/or stitches? I ask just to be assured from someone that it's probably the stictches that I'm feeling with the back of my tongue. It's sort of an annoying tickling sensation. If anyone can relate, PLEASE tell me I won't have to live with this feeling for ever! It will subside right??
Also, I heard that bleeding can be caused by hacking up phlegm. Is that true?
