I started this process because of really loud snoring, poor breathing through the nose and a moderate to severe sleep apnea. It's been 1 week and 2 days since the surgery and I am feeling much better about my choice. I sleep very well once I fall asleep and no snoring so far. The discomfort in my throat is not gone yet but it's getting better. I went through about a week of a gagging feeling that made me feel nauseous and unable to eat anything but bland foods. That seems to be getting a little better day by day. I found it important to me to try and get off the meds as soon as possible because I think they contributed to my nauseous feeling. So far I am happy I did it and would do it again. Feel free to ask for any specific advise or about my experience.
