uppp/tonsillectomy in 2 weeks 4/17

Posted by grapefishy on April 03, 2003 at 07:46:32:

I am scheduled for surgery on 4/17 and have a question for those that have gone through this surgery. I have done internet searching on this surgery and unfortunately came across a few cases where people died after surgery due to problems with not using their cpap and complications from the general anesthesia. Did those of you who had this surgery go into intensive care for one evening after surgery to carefully watch breathing? Does a 2 day hospital stay sound like too little?? did you have to use your cpap in the hospital?? I am going ahead with the surgery but would love input if anyone has info on these areas. thank you to all of your for your posings, i am thankful to have found this forum and see that there have been successful cases!!
