Dear Morose,

The worst is you could be dead. At the very least your apnea may not get better. On the other hand it could be better or gone.

You still have swelling and are presumeably taking pain killers and other medications which tend to make one sleepier. Give it time.

For the first couple weeks I slept propped up with a lot of pillows under me because when I tried sleeping flat I found it more difficult to breath. Give that a try. You may also find it easier to breath rolled over on your side.
