UPPP3 Tonsillectomy Delayed.

Posted by MDM3 on April 04, 2003 at 21:43:59:

Have been suffering from bouts of dizziness that came on suddenly in the last month. (Thought at 1st maybe a reaction to med. ENT ruled that out) My ENT prescribed Meclizine (AntiVert) It is helping the nausea part of it. So the ENT delayed any thoughts of surgery until he gets this straightened out. He sends me to get some testing done and the doctor who did the inner ear tests (Electronystagmography) says I either have Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo. (Inner ear problem) or a possible lesion on a nerve leading to the brain stem. (This means possible cancer right?) He said he would have to study the results further. The nurse calls today and tells me to see my ENT Monday. Made the appointment but my ENT was gone for the day. Left hanging. Now on pins and needles. This came out of nowhere and has me completely floored. Finally got it through my head that there was a decent chance UPPP3/Tonsil surgery was going to help me. Who cares if it’s painful? Yea right. LOL Now this happens. Fingers crossed for the best. Thanks for listening.
