Apnea worse after surgery

Posted by anniegael on April 07, 2003 at 16:49:39:

Had septoplasty, turbinate reduction, and uvula removed in November. Had been dianosed with mild apnea (20 episodes/hr). New results (SNAP studu in home) show up to 30 episodes/hr now. Was getting over major repiratory viral infection at the time of the sleep study and also too a restoril. Dr. said restoril could have messed up results. Doing a new at home study next week. Next procedure would be somnoplasty to tongue.
Any thoughts about any of this, anyone?
