I only had the UP3, and for the first few nights I, too, was VERY dry-mouthed. I finally bought a small humidifyer after it being suggested by a number of people in this forum. I propped it up on a chair next to my bed and it helped a lot. Also a cup of water near by is an obvious suggestion.
