Surgery on Tuesday the 8th

I had the UPPP procedure and my tonsils out two days ago on Tuesday. I am doing well but concerned about the potential for infection. I am taking the prescribed daily liquid antibiotics (as well as the Roxicet). I noticed some white coloring around the edge of the back of my throat. Is it mucuous? Also when is a realistic time to go back to a (rather stressful) desk job (at least for half days)?
