well you've made me a happy woman - it's a long time since someone has refered to me as 'young'!

Sounds like you have really been through the wringer with all of the surgeries you have tried - but at least now you have something that is working (is the dental appliance particularily uncomforable for you?).

Thank you for all of the suggestions and information it has certainly given me some options to consider.
