Severe OSA and surgery?

Posted by C2W on January 29, 2004 at 13:17:09:

I have recently been diagnosed with OSA (55 apneas/hr) and the ENT hass recommended repair of deviated septum and UPPP. This seems to make since being that he says I have an oversized soft pallet, tonsils and uvula. My problem is that the sleep doctor at the sleep clinic is questioning that. I am due to go through another sleep study with CPAP on Feb 3rd. The 2 docs differ on opinion as to whether my tongue is a problem or not. The sleep clinic doc doc thinks it is a possibilty while the ENT doc says no. What to do? I just want my sleep back!

Sorry to ramble.
