Glad to here fellow victims (just kidding) - those that have also had the Septoplasty add some perspective.
I am just at 6 weeks post Septoplasty. I have not had UPPP or anything like that, but I did have a Rhinoplasty done at the same time - so results could vary somewhat. My stuffiness has come and gone since the surgery with days and moments of good airway and times of less. I still have some soreness and in the last couple of days have been troubled by a slight rebound/increase in some issues including:
- what might be called crusting - I do not know what that means. Have read this can be a complication on different sites about this surgery, but none of them explain what the heck that means
- increased irritation and soreness, especially on the left side.
I am scheduled to see an ENT to have them assess progress of healing. All of this could be "normal" but as you know it is always hard to access what is normal when it is happening to you. Unfortunately, the surgeon who performed this is in Dallas and I live in San Francisco.
Will let you know what the Dr. says about my progress this Friday and ask him some of these questions.
