I'm sorry to hear about all your anxiety issues, but it seems possible that if you were to go through with the surgery that maybe it would help your anxiety attacks. You life changes so much when you don't feel so tired and moody. When I had my first surgery, I was scared s***less. I was having the septoplasty which is a very simple procedure, but when you go into the hospital before surgery, they can give you a shot that help your anxiety level. It can help you to relax and stop worring. If they did not give me this shot, I probably would have left and not had the surgery done. I don't know how old you are, but one of my co-workers is 33 and he just suffered a massive heart attack 2 weeks ago. He just got out of the hospital. He is about 5'9" and about 165 and he too suffers from OSA. His ENT told him that having OSA for as long as he has had it may have been a contributing factor in the heart attack. Now he has been in the hospital for about 2 weeks instead of just a couple days because he was too scared to have the sleep apnea surgeries done years ago. Now I'm not saying that he would have avoided having the heart attack, but it may have helped....something to think about. If your case of OSA is bad enough, it could very well lead to you ending up in the hospital for some heart related problems down the line anyway....
