I would try losing weight by some other means and see your sleep improves. It is great you are doing exercise, but can you be conservative in diet plan. 1500 calorie a day for example?
It will take equally same effort to make up a mind for going for bypass. Try reversable approach than knives and scissors. Mind is that controls a lot of things. Make your mind strong and try for the best. I am an example of herbal remedy of irritable bowl syndrom. Doctors prescribed tons of med, didn't work, a simple herb took care of IBS. Also another episode I had was fibromyalgia and that was taken care by simple exersices and some herb extracts and are 100 percent gone for 4 years. I am sure there are always other ways to treat diseases. Try different ones.
