Intubation with UPPP/LAUP?

I am due to have LAUP done next Thursday - over here in the UK they do this under a general anaesthetic. I was wondering if they intubate you when you have UPPP surgery and if so do they do it nasally of orally? Just wondering (I am the kind of person who has to know EVERYTHING!!)
