Posted by Sleepy Time Time on October 08, 2004 at 16:44:05:MY ENT looked in my nose and said my septum is only partly deviated, and that my major obstruction is definitley my swollen turbinates plus a nasal polyp or two.
So I am thinking of just getting somno of the turbinates and then having the polyps removed to avoid getting "cut" and all that entails (including post-op issues)
Will an ENT just do somno of turbs and remove naasal polyps or are they more likely to push hard for the higher-$$$ approach of doing the full septo / turbinate resection?
and if I go this somno / polyp route, which do they do first? Polyp removal or somno? and how many appointments do they usually require to do the somno?
