Hey Sleepy Time Time....

Just a reminder. We are not doctors.

Anywho, Septopasty and somnoplasty are usually considered part of the same global operation, so I would not be too concerned about the ENT wanting more money from you.

As for doing it, why not? You'll be recovering from the somnoplasty, your under anyway, and the risks of the surgery are minimal. Maybe it won't help, but it won't hurt.

Anyway, this operation has a TWO PERCENT success rate for helping with the sleep apnea, so unless you are having this to help you comply with Cpap(Me, but it did not work, and I am having mma on election day, of all things) or other reasons, don't get your hopes up.

No regrets on the surgery, though. Even though it did nothing for the apnea, my allergies and colds are MUCH less severe. Totally worth it.

And on a personal note, I also saw you were trying the dental device, and asking about braces, and all sorts of other things. I read an Oliver Sacks book, and the best quote in it is, "The first lesson of being a patient is being patient." Try one treatment plan at a time. Give the dental device a fair shot, and than move on to the next treatment. Otherwise, you'll drive yourself crazy. Sleep Apnea is hard, but it can be aggravated by stressing out about all these options. Believe me, I know first hand.

Therapy(my first time) with a psychologist who treats people with chronic illness has been a help for me to cope with it all.

Anyway, best of luck
