So many issues!

Using the Cpap and the Dental Device at the same time? If you are successfully complying with Cpap, why need the dental device?

Anyway, as for mouth breathing, maybe try a full face mask. The Resmed(Respironics?) Ultra Mirage Full Face Mask is a good one. They are developing one called the Activa Full Face Mask, which will probably be the best, but that is a ways off.

As for being platonic....I know the machine stinks, but it will make you feel tons better(which helps relationships). I wouldn't tell a guy on the first four dates(don't use it first time he comes over), say, but after that, if he likes you, it shou;dn't be a big deal. When I was trying to comply(sadly, I was in the ten percent that could not do it) she WANTED me to try it because she wanted me to feel better.

So the right guy won't care, and if he does, he's not the right guy.
