Sleep Test ResuPost MMA results in!

Posted by mikeinboston on March 28, 2005 at 17:47:55:

According to my doc, the preliminary results are

Pre op-35 RDI
Post Op 25 RDI....

But hold your horses! Apparently, the sleep lab I went to uses a very sensitive protocol...under most sleep lab tests, it would have registered as zero. I'll know more in a couple of days, but apparently the severity of each apneic episode has gone down tremendously. An apnea is a hyponea, a hypopnea is something smaller...

and well, if I walked into his office today as a new patient, cpap use would not be required unless I was exhausted...

which I am not! Not fatigued...maybe a little sometimes, but a mere shadow of what it was before. And its supposed to keep getting better and better over the next year.

I wish I could say it was easy as punch. I can't say that, but I can say it was TOTALLY worth it. A new lease on life and all that.

That is my post for now. WHen I get all the numbers and info I will post more.
