kaiser and mma?

Posted by sleeepyinla on March 29, 2005 at 10:21:01:

does anyone have any experience getting mma surgery through kaiser (los angeles)? unfortunately, kaiser is my insurance, and i am stuck with them (not so easy to hcange once you diagnosed with an illness). i would love to go to powell/riley (consulted with them/had somnoplsty too), but i can't afford it- the apnea is bad enough that i am on disability because i am no longer able to work. so if i try to get qualified for this procedure, i would have to go through kaiser's maxillio/facial surgeons, none of whom specialize in the treatment of sleep apnea.

anyone have any advice? i'm desperate- nothing has worked so far, and though i got some (not much) results from uppp/sonolassty 3 years ago, those results seem to be fading.

thanks-
