After four years of ........, I'm finally doing what I should have done in the beginning. Got my first appt with Dr NP in P.A.,CA in May. I'll be traveling from TX. He seems very interested in my unusual case and he's called me back after every fax and message I've left - sometimes within an hour. I'm impressed so far.
I have a slight suspicion that he'll suggest some nasal proceedures before going to MMA. I've already had uvulectomy, Somno, Laup, GA, Turbinate reduction, tongue suture, swift-kick-to-the-head, but my upper airway still seems to be narrow.
I've read all of the posts about MMA, but if anyone has anything to add I'm all ears. General details like what is the first workup like, how long till the decision, how long till the surgery, etc. He said that he can do the 'workup' in one day, and that MMA takes about 3-4 hours to do and would require 2 days in the hospital, and for me to hang around town for 10 days, then come back 2 more times (not optional).
Has anyone written a journal about their adventure into MMA land - start to finish with pictures and everything? If not, I might.
