surgery without packing!

I had ethmoid and concha bullosa surgery, with a somnoplasty on
Thursday the
14th. I had IV anisthesia during the 1.5 hour proceedure. I have no
packing in either nostril and have not had bleeding (a nose drip pad
was not
necessary) or a headache. I am using saline nasal irrigation 4X day,
Gentamicin irrigation 2X day, Simply Saline (no preservatives) hourly,
Prednisone for 4 days, and antibiotic 2X day. Being able to breathe
through
my nose following surgery has made all the difference in my recovery.
