Thanks.

I've always wondered on what criteria the people chose between the various competing hospitals in the Seattle area, and which one is best for what.

I chose UW/Harborview because I was advised by a couple of doctors I consulted (one of whom was KL, who specifically suggested seeking the treatment from a university physican), and I figured university doctors would be best suited to deal with difficult and unusual cases like mine. Based on Dr. W's credentials, I feel like I have made the right decision, especially considering he's done research and written articles with the Stanford team who developed the procedure that I'm currently undergoing.

What are your thoughts on this, based on your knowledge of and experience with hospitals and the medical system over there?

Bill
