To all MMA vets

Did MMA eventually remedy your sleep apnea?

I am 27 (6' and 150lbs) and have been told by two maxillo-facial surgeons that MMA/GA would help my sleep apnea. I have a small, recessed jaw and x-rays show that I have a narrow middle airway.

I have been using CPAP for the last seven months but I still wake up after a few ours of falling asleep. Is this unusual? I am just trying to guage, first hand, the success of this surgery.

So, to all those people who have had MMA: is your sleep apnea cured? And more specifically can you now make it through the night without waking up?

Thanks.
