Pre-op I thought my facial characteristics were ok. I was happy with how I looked. I also did not have micronapthia (recessed chin) or any of the traditional reasons why folks get orthognathic work done for other indications. Nonetheless, my MMA/GA helped. The end result wasn't dramatically different from my facial appearance pre-op. Yes, my chin is more pronounced...but for me the change was not substantial. On the other hand, other folks have posted substantial changes. Check out Western Joe's blog...he includes some before & after pix there.

In retrospect, the most striking changes were my new beard (as I was initially too numb to shave safely) and my weightloss.

Good luck,

Bill
