Idiopathic doesn't mean that there is no cause, it means the cause hasn't been found. Sometimes the term idiopathic prevents people from searching for the solution, and that bothers me.

Sounds like cpap is not doing the job for you. My dr also suggested provigil but I declined because I wanted the problem solved not covered up.

How long have you been on cpap?
How long has it been since your last sleep study?
