I also wonder if the CPAP and UPPP surgery are working. It seems to me that it would be difficult to overlay a diagnosis of idiopathic hypersomnia on you if your OSA wasn't resolved first. Did you get a repeat sleep study, EEG, etc... to arrive at this diagnosis ? If so, is your OSA well treated ?

Provigil is an interesting drug with very individualized responses. I think most people do not have straight-forward reactions to it.

It seems like the idiopathic hypersomnia is a diagnosis of exclusion and shouldn't be used as a cop-out. Just my opinion.
