Hello. Your story is interesting. I'm wondering if this accounts for those good nights/bad nights, but I can't tell like you can based on drainage. It almost seems like my bad nights are associated with increased activity/exhaustion.

Certainly negative pressure in the airway (apnea) is the cause of most GERD.

I have had no nasal complications after mma, just drainage and it is gradually improving. It seemed to get worse during the recent arch bar removal surgery which is to be expected since they pull out wires that are connected to the nasal area and stir things up.

You can read my progress on my blog (See July 29th posting below for URL). Or, search on "MMA Stanford" and I'm number 1. Yesterday, Dr P's office called and asked if they could point patients to it. Of course, that's what it's for, and it's quite an honor to offer help.
