Hi, I think there are a wide variety of ages both younger and older than 48 who have had an MMA.

I've seen posts from people in their 50's and 60's as well as some from their 20's. I think Sleepy in Seattle is about your age.

Studies have included some patients in their late sixties as well as a range of younger patients.

Bottom line is, if it will fix your OSA, find the right surgeon and facility and go for it. You are in the median age range both on this forum and in the literature.
